Start the weekend right with great music in a relaxed setting

Thank you for a fabulous season!

The 2020/2021 season has now concluded – and what a season it was! A survey of musicians and audience during the summer of 2020 told us that everyone was open to try to produce a season of Early Music using the latest electronic technology. Artists expanded their skill set to include video production, recording their concerts for HHCC. Audience members enthusiastically embraced the new platform and supported a full season – six concerts – with attendance higher than our in-person years. We gathered with musicians after each concert for a lively video talk-back. We added new audience members to our traditional Front Range community, with patrons scattered from California to New York City and Toronto. And through it all we managed, in a small way, to support our musicians during the pandemic, while we treated ourselves to several hours of respite, beauty, and comfort during a dark year.

With deep and sincere thanks to our musicians and audience, we prepared a short video highlighting excerpts from the six concerts, to celebrate what an amazing season we just enjoyed!

We know the best way to experience this incredible music is in live performance, and we hope that continued progress in reigning in this pandemic will make that possible for our Tenth Season beginning next fall. The HHCC Board will monitor the situation over the summer and we’ll give you updates about our next season as the path becomes clear. But for now, thank you for your support of our mission: to bring gifted artists and appreciative audiences together to keep this beautiful music alive and thriving.

An Encore encore

At the end of our 2016-2017 season, internationally-acclaimed tenor Nicholas Phan asked Happy Hour to help him produce several videos. We hosted a Happy Hour Encore to create an audience for his recording project, with limited seating and our Happy Hour ambience and setting. You can click here to see the invitation we sent out at that time. Recently, Nicholas shared with us two of the videos from that Encore performance and he has invited us to share them with you. They are a delight, and we hope you will enjoy them! Click on the titles below to see a description and the video. They remind us of an earlier time not long ago when we enjoyed live music, and they point us toward a hoped-for future not far away when we can be together again. Thank you, Nicholas, Ann Marie, and our Happy Hour patrons!
